Financial planning is a natural fit for Jake. It allows him to not only leverage his knowledge on a topic that he is passionate about, but also facilitates utilization of his leadership skills and passion for helping others.
Jake is a natural born leader and has an affinity for helping others. While growing up in Ortonville, Michigan, Jake attended the Brandon School District. During that time, he was a three-sport varsity athlete, often heading his team as captain. He also played college baseball before deciding to focus on his studies. Upon completion of a community project building a play structure in a new park in Ortonville, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
Jake has always loved Clarkston and desires to establish his family here. He and his longtime girlfriend plan to remain in Clarkston to grow their family. Together they love hiking and have seen over 300 waterfalls in the past five years. A true outdoorsman, Jake also enjoys softball, boating, backpacking, live music, mountain biking and golfing.
Jake began his career path in the industry as a financial representative intern during college. His first two years as an advisor was primarily helping millennials while specializing in life and disability insurance. Eventually, he transitioned to a full-time position and joined a financial planning team. The industry is constantly growing more complex and more individuals are demanding a one-stop-shop for all financial services. Jake believes that working as a team is the best way to accommodate his client’s goals. To better serve his clients, Jake continues to expand his knowledge through education by working towards additional designations and licensing.
Giving back to the community that supported Jake’s growth is very important to him. Keeping to volunteering routinely, he is always looking for new opportunities to give back. If you know of any, please don’t hesitate to reach out to him! A recent favorite of his, Jake and his friends spent the day volunteering by bagging sand to help prevent the Detroit River from flooding over and destroying homes.
